Connect

In our church community, there are many ways to connect and serve. We encourage you to connect through participating in services, events and ministries.

Not sure where to start?
Fill out the contact form on this site or phone the office 03 218 4554. Keep up to date with the latest happenings via our church Facebook page, and join the Youth, Young Adults or Children & Families groups that are relevant to you. The newsletter is a great way to know what is happening in the life of the church. You can get a paper copy at the Sunday service or via email – contact the office to sign up.

SMALL GROUPS: Besides the services on Sundays, we believe Small Groups are an essential part of our church life. In small groups, you can experience prayer, sharing, study and accountability while developing meaningful relationships and teamwork. Contact one of the team to find out more.

MEN’S EVENTS: We affiliate with ‘Southern Men’s Ministry’ who offer an annual ‘Brassknocker Road’ Camp and occasional events. Please speak to one of the team if you wish to know more.

WOMEN’S EVENTS: check out the CWCI website

FOOD FOR LIFE: This is a spiritually based food accountability group that meet on a weekly basis to study the bible, pray and encourage a personal encounter with the author – because we believe that it is only when we submit our struggles with food and life to God that we learn to walk in the victory and freedom that God intends for us. John 6:35 (NIV) Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
Where: Invercargill Central Baptist Church, 11 Deveron St, Invercargill.

TEEN PARENT SUPPORT: ‘Getting to Know You’ is an eight-week parenting programme for teenagers and young adults who are soon-to-be-parents or have young babies. Through this course, we aim to provide the life skills you will need to bond with your baby and be a great parent. It’s also an excellent way to meet and build a support network with others in the same situation. Getting to Know You is open to anyone in our local community; you do not have to be a member of our church to take part.
