As a way to serve our City and caring for God’s creation, we’re undertaking CLEAN + GREEN community projects around Invercargill during New Zealand’s Clean Up Week.
We’d love for you to be a part of this!
The first EIGHT of these projects take place on Saturday 12 September following breakfast together at church.
Have a look at the projects below and email office@icbc.org.nz to add your name to the taskforce list for your chosen project (please also advise if you will come along for breakfast from 8am, before the projects begin).
- Bluff Railway Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. Opposite the Appleby Park triangle, both sides of the railway line from Bond Street to Dalrymple Street. 6 people (NOTE: this project is not suitable for children) - Bluff Section Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. Meet at Church with weed whackers. If you are unable to come, but have a weedwhacker we can borrow, please let us know. 4-6 people (NOTE: this project is not suitable for children)
- Bushy Point Planting
9.15 am. Entrance off No. 5 Bryson Rd, Otatara. (Bryson Rd is at the end of the tar seal on Marama Ave South… turn left off Marama South). There will be someone at the gate to direct you. Organised by the Otatara Land Care group.
- Oreti Beach Clean-Up
10am – 2pm - Otepuni Gardens Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. Meet on Clyde Street, behind Southland Girls High School. 10+ people
- Surrey Park Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. Access off Yarrow Street. 6 people - Thomsons Bush Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. 6-10 people - Turnbull Thomson Park Clean-Up
9am – 12pm. Both sides of Lindisfarne Street, from the hockey grounds on the west to the houses on David Street to the east. 10+ people
